West Quay (Southampton) Developer: Hammerson

Working with Hammerson, Malcolm McGougan and his team delivered the first fully open systems IP-enabled retail system in the UK, incorporating:

• IP telephony.
• terminals in every retail store,
• points of presence throughout the centre.
• integrated theatre booking.
• traffic management system.
• operational management platform.
• integrated footfall counting.

Working with Sir Robert McAlpine over the life of the project, the system is still in full operation some 6 years later and continues to add value to the consumer and operational running of the Centre.
