Malcolm has 27 years experience in networking and IT solutions, including seven years with 3Com heading up their strategic account development programme in the UK.

He was a founder and director of Fastnet Systems (a leader in IP converged systems), where he created and took to market the "SmartB" Intelligent Building Concept. Fastnet was subsequently acquired by Redstone Corporation, where he held the position of Senior Director, responsible for product and service development and the commercialisation of Redstone's existing investment in Metropolitan Area Networks.

He continued to develop the concept of SmartB into a leading intelligent building solution for new build and retrofit retail and commercial properties, resulting in the award for Bullring as the most innovative retail application.

He extended his knowledge and interest in wireless applications as Sales and Marketing Director at CDS (one of the UK's leading wireless solutions providers), before founding AIB Limited.
