New Shires (Leicester) Developer: Hammerson

AIB has provided "needs analysis services" to Hammerson on how to achieve the tight integration of a comprehensive intelligent building system into the main build programme for the New Shires Development in Leicester.

With the proposal that the IP cabling and active backbone should be incorporated into the main contract - a first for this type of approach in the UK - AIB's role includes the evaluation and verification of the sub-contractor and systems integrator proposals for the architecture, to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery and compliance of the agreed system, to liaise with all parties throughout the project, advise on integration issues and to provide advice on opportunities for maximising revenue from the implementation of the new system.

AIB's work will continue through the life of the project ensuring Hammerson achieves the original high aspirational goals at a cost effective price.
